Golf Solitaire
Cards are dealt in columns, with one card face up as the base. You remove cards that are one higher or lower, trying to clear as many as possible before you run out of moves.
Why play it: Short sessions, easy to understand, genuinely tricky to master. The name comes from trying to get the lowest score possible.
Tips to Win at Solitaire
Whether you are playing Klondike or any other version, a few habits separate consistent winners from people who restart every two minutes.
Always move Aces and Twos to foundations immediately. There is no reason to leave them in play.
Don’t empty a column unless you have a King ready. A space with no King to fill it is wasted.
Flip stock cards before making moves. Knowing what is coming changes which moves make sense.
In FreeCell, plan four or five moves. The free cells are a tool, not a dumping ground. Use them deliberately.
In Spider, build same-suit sequences whenever possible. Mixed-suit sequences block you later.
